Custom fields allow you to save a form field and its values to share and reuse in your Clive forms.
Custom fields are especially helpful when maintaining large dropdown or multiple selection fields such as Department listings. Rather than making updates across multiple fields, you can update your custom field in one place to populate the changes to all forms using that field.
Creating custom fields
To create a new custom field, visit the Forms > Custom Fields area and click Create a Custom Form Field. Configure your field properties and click Save.
You can also create new custom fields on the fly when editing a form field. Just click the Save Custom Field (floppy disk) icon to save the current field as a custom field.
Using custom fields
To use a custom field in a form, click the Add Field button and choose it from the Type dropdown. Custom fields will appear at the bottom of the field type list.
