Linux/*nix

  • Stop Cascade CMS
  • Edit the file cascade.sh (found in the Cascade root directory)
  • Add/Modify the -Xss parameter on line 2. For example:
    export JAVA_OPTS="-Xss1M -Xmx1024M -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Djava.awt.headless=true -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8"
    Sets the thread stack size to 1M.
  • Restart Cascade CMS

Windows (command line)

  • Stop Cascade CMS
  • Edit the file cascade.bat (found in the Cascade root directory)
  • Add/Modify the -Xss parameter on line 3. For example:
    set JAVA_OPTS=-Xss1M -Xmx1024M -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Djava.awt.headless=true -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8
    Sets the thread stack size to 1M.
  • Restart Cascade CMS

Windows (service)

  • Navigate to the \tomcat\bin ┬ádirectory and find the file named tomcat8w.exe
  • Make a copy of this file and rename it cascadew.exe (Note: if cascadew.exe already exists, skip to the next step)
  • Double-click the file cascadew.exe
  • In the configuration UI click on the Java tab.
  • In the Thread stack size field, enter a value (1000 ┬áKB, for example)
  • Click Apply
  • Restart the Cascade service
